HF Arbor Co.
Same Tree, New Job
HF Arbor Co. is a tree service in Hoosick Falls that sees a tree all the way through: taken down, the stump ground out, the trunk milled into lumber.

Tree work is loud and dangerous, so we built the opposite: a toy-box world that looks made of clay, in safety orange and forest green, with the arborist in an orange helmet and a lime shirt. The character is the joke. The work is correct: the notch, the back cut, the wedge, and a maple that falls away from the house, exactly where it was planned.

The page runs the way a job does: the tree comes down, the stump is ground out, the trunk goes through the mill. In the last scene he sits on a bench made from the same maple, takes his helmet off and raises his coffee. At the bottom of the page he’s in the office, waiting by the phone.

Colophon
How it was made.
- Type
- Letters of bark and moss for the name, and light Inter for everything else, so the scenes do the shouting.
- Colour
- Safety orange and forest green, and nothing else.
- Pictures
- Generated in a clay style, approved as stills before anything moved, and every clip checked frame by frame. Even the office wall is graded to the page’s green.
- Built
- Fast on a phone, with the call and estimate buttons always in reach.
